I think you've just said what needed to be. Socializing really is the part that most people lack. And it's just not socializing, especially it's verbalizing. One needs to be able to talk and talk and talk or at least be able to ask the correct questions so the people around one talk and talk and talk ^^ And that's basically the reason why so many people resort to online dating. It's easier to think about what you're going to write, even if it's a live-chat, you can think and somewhere within that those thoughts you get some 'Oh, saying this could be fun'-Moments. That just doesn't work on the streets ;) People who're taking online-dating seriously are not faking their personality. They write what they feel and mostly are honest about themself. What they usually don't really realize is: it works. The girls online don't chat you up because they got nothing better to do. Mostly they do it because they either have really much FUN talking to you or because they put interest in you for who you are. Just do the same on the streets, that you do on chat. It's no Problem that you don't have time to 'think' about what you're going to say as the thoughts would basically end up to what you'd say spontanously.
